Help For The Shackelford Family

On Wednesday, January 8th Jessica Shackelford was in a car accident with her 7 year old girl, Jaidyn, and her 7 month old boy, Ryker. Jessica tragically passed away at the age of 28. Jessica was a beautiful person and a devoted mother. She leaves behind 2 children that she loves unconditionally. Bobby Shackelford, the father of Jaidyn, now has custody of her, plus emergency custody of Ryker. Bobby is currently on worker’s compensation leave from his job and is living with his father and step mom, Bobby(Rusty) and Tara Shackelford. This family has a large and desperate need for help. They have already had to purchase a pack n play, diapers, bottles, clothes, wipes, baby food, blankets, and more. This was just for their first night. They do not have access to the children’s belongings at this point. In addition to the every day items needed for the children, the family is in the middle of doing some construction on their home. They now have to get that completed immediately for DHS approval, plus rearrange the home in order to set up beds for both children. I am trying to explain their current needs while still giving this grieving family some privacy. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me or any of the family members you know. Please pray for this family and these precious children. Thank you for any donation you are able to give. Rene Hurd (Sister of Tara Shackelford)
