Brad shot during robbery at a Denny’s in Manassas
Donation protected
Only hours after Christmas, Brad was one of the victims in the deadly robbery at the Denny’s in Manassas. This event was beyond traumatizing. Bradley is an amazing human being to say the least and would do anything to keep his loved ones safe. Words cannot describe how beautiful this man’s heart is.
He was shot twice, once in the stomach and another above the knee. He went into critical condition due to surgery because the bullet put 3 holes in his stomach and a damaged spleen, which has been removed.
We are raising money for his future medical bills and other intense care needs. His domestic/life partner, will not be able to work while taking care of him. And if she does go to work, he will not have the care he needs and deserves.
Unfortunately, she does not qualify for the FMLA “family and medical leave act” since she is not officially his “spouse” or been at the current employer for a year They only have each other and no one else will be able to take care of him, except her since they live together.
My name is Leyla Shafag. I work at Starbucks as a lead. I am from Woodbridge, VA and live in an apartment with the victim.
My relationship with Brad is that I am his life partner and we have been together for more than a year now.
Brad has two children which he had just spent the evening with leading up to the event at Denny’s. Thankfully he had dropped them off to spend some time with his mother before heading out for a meal. He also has an ex-wife that he is legally separated from.
Doctors orders say he will be able to get back to his normal life within 3 months. No one should have to experience this, especially after the holidays. Anything will be appreciated. Thank you so much and keep praying for us all.
All funds raised will be used on the medical bills he is to receive soon as well as living expenses due to both of our time missing work. They will be withdrawn and placed into an account that we both have access to so that medical and living expenses can be met.
