Christmas Miracle - Repair Effort

Good people, UPDATE: 12-23-2019 Phil Gutowski has found Eclipse! Your support and your prayers have made a tremendous impact! After fighting chop and wind searching with power boats, Phil was able to hire a seaplane to search for Eclipse from the sky. Knowing he had the support of friends, family, and even strangers gave Phil the confidence and clarity he needed to evaluate his situation calmly and carefully. He analyzed the storm patterns, tidal flows and local charts in order to make a best guess at where she may have drifted and within 30 minutes in the sky they found her.  There she was sitting calmly, perfectly upright on a sand bar in Biscayne Bay. The retrieval effort was tricky, she way laid up in a natural reserve so Phil and his team had to opperate carefully and to delicately extract her.  The effort required two tow boats along with the Eclipse under her own power to dislodge her from the sand bar and clear her from the shallows. One boat pulled a line attached to her mast in order to lean her over and raise her keel while a second tow boat pulled her around and out of the shallows over reefs and sandbars till she was clear. It was bumpy, it was stressful, and it was tricky but they managed it and suspect minimal damage to Eclipse. As of this writing Phil is back on board and entering the channel of Dinner Kay, returning Eclipse safely and securely to her mooring. He'll be boarding a flight to NY tomorrow morning resuming his holidays, happy and whole. When he returns to Florida after the holiday he will set to the task of effecting necessary repairs.  We've adjusted to goal of this campaign to reflect what he needs to repair the damage and cover the cost fo the search and recovery.
