Maxines Janky Foot Pt 2

Once again we are calling on our family and friends for support. Maxine was born in January of 2018, with right clubfoot. After several casts, and a tendon release surgery, Maxine’s foot was corrected enough to move into orthotic shoes that maintain her correction. She needs to wear this brace nightly until the age of five. Unfortunately the typical brace does not work for Maxine, and caused severe damage to her non clubfoot. This meant finding an alternative. Luckily, after many obstacles and complications in being able to actually obtain the brace in her size, we were able to access 6 braces (the adm) before production was halted. Thankfully the adm is once again easily accessible from a company is the USA called mdorthopaedics. UNFORTUNATELY we have just found out that our insurance will only cover ONE PER LIFETIME and Maxine is once again in need of the next size up. Each brace costs approximately $400. She goes through 3-4 braces per year depending on growth, and with three kids at home, that puts a lot of pressure on us to find the finances to obtain them. Maxine will most likely be casted again next week, due to relapse, cause by having to wait for the next brace. Maxine will be turning 2 next month, and rather than presents for her birthday or Christmas, we are asking that you donate to this cause instead. Every little bit helps. Any and all funds raised will be used to purchase new ADM’s for Maxine, and to cover the cost of having a floor bed made for her as well. She is become far too large for her crib, and the banging of the boot is causing some pretty restless nights. Unfortunately because of the orthotic, putting her into a regular toddler/twin bed is just not safe. Rocco and I thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the support we receive from our family and friends Every one of the ADMs that Maxine grows out of gets donated directly to another family in need. So far we have donated to Canada, Australia and the Philippines!
