My 14 year old son, Kyron was nearly fatally hit in Baltimore Maryland just recently. He was found unconscious and unresponsive as the driver fled, and as a mother, you could only imagine the type of pain and emotion I felt and thought that ran through my mind as I got the news. He was rushed to shock trauma with bleeding and swelling to the brain, a bruised lung, and fractures to the left side of his face, where he also remained unconscious for 2 weeks. It pained me to be beside my baby, not knowing if he was going to wake up or not or wondering if my last moments with him were enough for me to feel somewhat at peace with the situation. Thankfully as of today he is awake, but he isn’t able to speak and is currently using a feeding tube, all while the person who did this to my son is still walking free with no repercussions. I’m angered, heartbroken and honestly frightened, because I would’ve never thought I’d have to deal with something like this nor would I wish this upon someone. The mental and emotional torment I’ve dealt with upon this occurring has been nothing less of a nightmare that has yet to end. I’m positive any parent wouldn’t want to see their child in such a condition and can empathize with how I may be feeling. Today I make a GoFundMe simply asking for whatever anyone can spare to help go towards his medical and therapy bills. He is not my only baby, and I’m struggling daily to make ends meet with all of them along with everyday life and what simply comes with being an adult. I am thankful for anything I do receive and will certainly pray that you all get back what you’ve put out times ten. I thank everyone for taking the time out of their day to read my story and hope that better days are upon not only myself, but the readers as well. Thank You.
