Cindy Mellon Memorial Fund

Donation protected
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our mom Cindy Mellon (Marble).  Cindy passed away suddenly on June 27th 2020, and returned to her Father in Heaven.  Mom's passing  is profoundly difficult, and will be felt for a very long time.  We cannot imagine how to fathom the loss, and to pick up the pieces on how to carry on without her.  She was our rock, our light, our everything.  She was many people's everything.  Unfortunately, Mom did not have life insurance, they simply could not afford it.  In the last few years, our dad has had a tremendous amount of medical ailments, many of which that left him hospitalized and without an income.  He is a disabled Vet, and his past trauma from service has riddled him with medical complications in the last couple years. Mom  soon became the primary bread winner for her family and ailing husband.  Despite her own  medical setbacks, she never stopped and always did anything she could to make ends meet.  The looming thought of financial, emotional, and physical wellness is not lost on any of us, but particularly our dad.  They were soulmates, mom was his caregiver, the one who kept him going.  This unexpected loss is already painful,we want to make sure she gets the departure she deserves, and take care of the funeral services for dad. This will allow us all to grieve and we can do for him, what mom did for him until she could no longer.  The family is asking for your love and support in any way that you are able.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary donation.   The funds will be used to help cover funeral costs, and take care of her loving husband that she left behind.  She would want nothing more than to know that her family is taken care of, especially those she was responsible for.   If you are not able to give a monetary donation, please know that prayers and messages of love and support are priceless and mean just as much!! For all those who knew Cindy, mom, nana...they knew what a bright light she was in everyone's life. Mom was a simple lady, who lived a simple life, that was full of plenty of tremendous trials and tragic tribulations.   Her simple life included working hard, often barely making ends meet, but loving harder without a care in the world.  Mom survived breast cancer more than once, two brain aneurysms that nearly cost her her life, black widow bites that brought her to her knees, and subsequent health problems that she too overcame.  Though many of these trials slowed her down, they never stopped her, she wouldn’t let them.  In fact, most would not know by looking at her, what a warrior she was and how refused to accept defeat.  For most of her life she was a caregiver, whether to her parents, children, grandchildren, patients, or anyone else that needed her.  Always the busy-body, she became a CNA, later worked in retail, hospitality, and even started a jewelry and blanket business. Cindy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, sealed in the temple to her children, proudly escorted her daughter through the temple, and held various callings with unyielding loyalty and dedication.      Mom managed to forge  bonds with all those who she came across, all unique in their own way, each different and special. Mom thought she was hilarious, had a twisted sense of humor, a bold reserve, and a giving heart.  Above all else, mom will be remembered for her undying love, unquestionable loyalty, sacrificial support of her children, grandchildren, and family and friends.  Mom was the definition of resilience and selfless service, sometimes to her detriment.  Mom put everyone before herself, and never asked for anything in return. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts....even for taking the time to read about our mom, nana, and wife. I hope you gained a glimpse of the woman she was and why she will be sorely missed.
