Mother & Daughter Fight For Their Lives

On December 1st around 8:30pm my mother and sister, Dakota, left the house to go to a gas station that was right down the road. My sister was driving, and my mother was in the passenger seat. Seconds after leaving they were struck head on by a drunk driver, totaling the car, and sending my mother and sister to the emergency room. During the crash my Dakota was pinned against her steering wheel and couldn’t move. The passenger door was jammed and my mom was trapped too. A crew came to cut the car in half, because that was the only way to save them. The drunk driver was able to walk away with just a few bruises, while my family had to suffer form his actions. Upon getting to the emergency room, Dakota was rushed to be stabilized. She had broken her arm, exposing the bone, and fractured her elbow. She was also suffering from a fractured ankle, a cut on her knee that went to the bone, as well as some cuts and bruises all over her body. She was bleeding from her head, her nose, and having hip problems. As I type this, my precious little sister is going into surgery to work on the broken arm and fractured ankle. I can’t believe she is having to go through this trauma and pain. My mother, Melissa, suffered from broken ribs, a broken nose, and severe bruising and cuts all over her body. She is also having issues with her lungs. She is currently trying to keep her blood pressure at a healthy rate, her oxygen up, and was directed that she cannot leave the bed. At this time I am asking for help, my family needs help, prayers, support. These unfortunate events will scar us for the rest of our lives. My sister, only 19 years old, is a Phlebotomist at Methodist and currently trying to get into nursing school. My mother is a hard working business women who will now not be able to work for serval weeks due to rib injuries. My family was torn apart and put through stress over a irresponsible adult. Again, we need help, we need support. Anything is so so so appreciated. Thank you for reading.
