Gene Johnson’s Recovery Fund

Gene works the Afterschool program at my Dojo and is also my student and good friend. On the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Gene suffered a heart attack and shortly thereafter, had to have emergency quadruple bypass heart surgery. Gene is recovering at the hospital now and will be unable to return to work for up to six months. If you know Gene, you know that he is continuously doing for and giving to others. Everyone comes to Gene for help and I know that the hardest part of recovery for him, will be the fact that he has to focus on taking care of himself. Gene has a wife and a two girls and his time away from work, as well as the influx of medical expenses, has caused a hardship for the family. I have set up this page in hopes that we can rally around Gene and allow his family to receive in their time of need. Thank you to everyone who is able to donate; this means a lot to me and I know will help Gene in his road to recovery.
