Being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 41 is something no woman, wife, mother, sister, or daughter should ever have to experience. But when the diagnosis is made, it is life changing. Nothing from that day forward will ever be the same. The fear, the anxiety, the sleepless nights, the stress, the financial strain...it's far too much for Lisa and her family to take on alone. Praise God that they are NOT ALONE! She has an army of heroes ready to help her fight this battle. As Lisa has said "I WILL BEAT THIS!" She's blessed with the help and support of her husband Scott, her children, her parents and in-laws, but she needs OUR help. Lisa will be undergoing a double mastectomy on December 13th. She will have a lengthy recovery, lasting up to 8 weeks. She may have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation after her recovery from the surgery, causing her recovery to be extended. Lisa recently started a new position that she loves, but unfortunately she doesn't have any vacation time available. They are a dual-income family, but Lisa will be without a paycheck for weeks. A large deductible will need to be covered before her insurance will pay for her surgery and any additional treatments. Added financial stress should not be on the list of "to-do's" for any woman (and her family) battling breast cancer. Here's YOUR chance to become one of #HambysHeroes! Lisa and her family would be grateful for all prayers, sending supportive texts and memes (Lisa loves a good meme!), but most of all they need our financial support. Every little bit helps, and with all of those who love her, we can help her become a #breastcancerwarrior.
