Hi everyone, my name is Donna Boring. I have been battling progressive Multiple Sclerosis for some time now. With every relapse I lose more function. Recently, I had one of the worst relapses that left me on oxygen, unable to push my manual wheelchair. I lost strength in my left arm, core, and after a power port was placed in my chest, my right shoulder is not able to support my ability to transfer. I am now in a full function power chair. I have nursing, and therapists trying to help me daily but not much progress is being made. One of the hardest and embarrassing issues is the inability to get into the bathroom. It only has a 28 inch door that my chair can not get through and the inside is tiny and not handicap accessable in any way. It is possible to expand that space and door into a full bathroom that is accessable, however, we are unable to finance a project this large. As much as I hate to ask for help from others, I am asking. I need about 1000,00 to accomplish a remodel of the bathroom. Any amount would help and be greatly appreciated.
