Hello all, My name is Skylar Buckland. I am a 20 year old college student, at San Diego Mesa College and I am in desperate need of housing. When I was born, my father passed away and I was taken from my mother due to drug and alcohol abuse. When my grandmother, who raised me, passed away, my uncles had to sell our house in order to pay off her medical bills that stacked up.
I am personally not one to ask for help. In fact, Since January of 2018, I have been house hopping/couch surfing. I have ended up in abandoned apartments as well as lived in a warehouse to avoid sleeping on the street, fearing becoming sex trafficked or worse. It has taken me since then, to swallow my pride and realize I can't do this on my own.
  I would very much like to settle and continue my education at San Diego Mesa college and further my education. I am currently working now and seeking work as an Emergency Medical Technician. To complete the process of becoming a hire-able EMT there are also fees I still am struggling to pay. Your donation will help me with housing as well as finish the process of becoming a working EMT!
