Hello All- I hope this finds each of you safe and warm during this truly exceptional time.

As many of you know- Covid has made its way to Pine Ridge and is now exploding through the community there.  The tribe is managing the pandemic the best it can but many people are sick, many households are quarantined and it has left a great number of families without income. Last week the council voted to institute another reservation wide lockdown to slow the spread of the virus. It probably goes without saying, the situation on Pine Ridge was tenuous before the arrival of Covid and it is stretching families extremely thin. 

And of course, winter is coming and with it, intense cold and storms.

So I'm writing this fundraiser today to bring in some resources for families struggling to manage with low or no employment as the virus spreads, who are especially strapped going into the winter fuel season.
