Ray Motes (Poppy) Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
My step-father, Ray Motes has been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer (Glioblastoma).Any prayers or help would be greatly appreciated. All the donations will go towards bills accumulating due to treatment. He requires hemophiliac factor treatments because his blood does not clot on its own. He also requires pain meds for headaches and pressure due to the brain biopsy / tumor as well as seizure medication. Due to the location of the tumor the doctors at Emory had to cut through his facial muscles to aquire the sample for the biopsy. They will begin chemo/radiation this coming Tuesday-Friday then oral chemo on the weekends. That will be for the next 6 weeks, then they’ll re-evaluate the tumor. The treatments will hopefully help to lessen some of the pain, seizures, dizziness & other symptoms. My mom has been by his side at Emory (in Atlanta) along with other family members. She is only able to work when another family member can come stay with him. We are all still just in shock and a little overwhelmed from the diagnosis. I will try to keep updates as much as possible. My son Bradley made a page earlier, but deleted it in order for us to add more details. Please continue praying! Thank you all for the calls, texts, support, love, thoughts & prayers!
