MY STORY:
Have you ever thought about what you'd do if you had a second chance at life? Have you ever admired those who go on an adventure and leave everything behind? Well, I've decided to do just that.
Having had a bilateral pulmonary embolism, in short, there was a blood clot in my leg that broke apart and went into both of my lungs; this caused me to have an NDE, or near death experience. Luckily I survived. I was in the hospital for a week, four months homebound, depleted my savings, and then only able to return to work part time. Recovery has been challenging. Everything is completely different.
Having spent over half my life raising two beautiful children as a single parent, experiencing all the challenges that come along with that, and being a hairstylist for 28 years, I am now faced with an exciting opportunity. My youngest daughter, Morgan, is graduating high school in June and has been accepted to the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Fall semester starts August 21. Realizing how precious life is, I've decided to accompany her there.
THE CHALLENGE:
I'm reaching out to ask if you'd help me in this journey. I can't do it alone and thought this would be a great way to test the support for my adventure and ultimately authoring my book. Any assistance would be great.
The decision, albeit exciting, has also caused anxiety. I will be leaving my eldest son, Davyd, who's attending Cal Poly. As well as two dogs, Petunia and Sasha. Also, to obtain a state cosmetology license I have to take a test once I get there. This means I will be without a job for some time.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Your support is extremely appreciated. For instance:
1) $30 treats us to a meal when we arrive.
2) $50 is our budget for the first grocery trip.
3) $100 takes care of one night in a hotel.
4) $200 pays for one of Morgan's books for college.
5) $800-$1000 will buy her a laptop.
6) $1200 gets my car shipped to the island.
By giving any amount, you will help with all of this and more! Your promoting our story on social media, through email or texts or any way you can would be extremely valued.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
In return, I promise to keep you informed, sharing with you my second chance and the adventure of a lifetime. I am so grateful to you for taking the time to read a little about my life. Thank you in advance for supporting me in sending my daughter to college and have a fresh start to life as well as being able to add a new chapter to mine.
