Abbey Hirsch Memorial Adirondack Chair

Donation protected

Friends of Beth and Jim Hirsch are raising money to have a memorial for Abbey Hirsch. This will be a Giant Adirondack chair on Frye Island at the ball field or community center where people can sit and enjoy their Frye surroundings. This idea came to Beth when she was traveling in Florida last winter. Typical of her she suggested something the community could enjoy while recognizing Abbey. When she sat in the chair with friends at a restaurant she came up with this idea. The cost of the bench, base area (similar material as the playground) and shipping is ~$3,000. If we exceed that amount, the family has interest in recognizing Abbey as part of a project to replace the current bridge on the the sixth hole of the Frye Island Golf course. Abbey grew up in Hollis NH. She was on Frye from age three and as she grew older she worked at the Ice Cream stand, as a Recreation employee and as a bartender at the Frye’s Leap Cafe and Golf Course. This project was unanimously approved by the FI Board of Directors. We would like to move quickly so once the Island Opens we can dedicate the chair to Beth, Jim and Haley Hirsch. Please share this!
