1st Heavenly Anniversary in memory of baby Kayden White

Hi my name is Michaela mc cauley, In behalf of me and my partner we would like to tell yous our story and raise money for two amazing organisations. As many of you all know we had two beautiful identical twin boys born unexpectedly and severely premature at only 27+ days on the 26th June 2023 weighing as little 1lbs 15oz & 1lbs 13oz at the national maternity hospital in dublin. Our pregnancy was one of the highest risk twin pregnancies known as MCMA twins where I was admitted to hospital at 26 weeks for monitoring at a hospital 4 hours away from home. 6 days later our boys decided to make an early appearance due to complications. Our boys fought hard when they entered this world with many tubes, monitors connected to them. Sadly one of our twin boys took a turn for the worst which resulted in him having sepsis, he fought with all the strength he had but unfortunately he passed away at only 15 days old from the infection and suffered intracranial haemorrhage. Our world was torn apart within moments, we had to find strength & courage for our other twin boy who was also in the icu neonatal unit. We watched our twin boy get stronger each day, we spent an emotional 75 days in the National Maternity Hospital in dublin where we got amazing care & support from the neonatal staff 24/7. They provided outstanding support and worked in a professional manner at all times to go above and beyond for us. Dublin was 4 hours away from our home, we stayed in Hugh’s House, which is a parent’s house for families who are separated from their child when they were in hospital. They provided nutritional food, comfort and support when families are going through similar circumstances. This is a charity based organisation reliant purely on donations.It has been an amazing place for us to stay and we would love to show our appreciation & gratitude to raise money to both of these amazing charities that has helped us throughout our journey. Our boys have just turned 1, and it is coming up to our little boy Kayden’s first heavenly anniversary on the 11th July. We will be doing a fundraiser dance on the 30th August in memory of our baby boy, to help raise money for these amazing services. All donations would be greatly appreciated.
