Help fund Egham's 1st Islamic Community Centre

Momade Faizal is organizing this fundraiser to benefit Runnymede Muslim Society.

Over 3% of the population in Egham do not have a Masjid. The nearest Masjid is a 30min drive.

Runnymede Muslim Society is a registered charity, who serve meals to foreign students from Royal Holloway University, assist with interfaith discussions, school visits, help with aid for homeless/emergencies, run martial arts club, a madrasah and cater for the community in Egham and Runnymede.

They have been doing all of the above for over 25 years without having their own building, but by sharing facilities, including a church for 11 years at The Jurgens Centre.

They have found a building, have 80% of the amount and just need your help to raise the remaining 20% to buy the building.

Without a local Masjid it will be difficult:

For local youth to learn about Islam
Tackle Islamophobia
Bridge the local communities
To have a place for prayers

The building will be used for our local prayers, as a community centre for bridging communities, run a local madrasah, a local martial arts club, computer science lessons aimed at GCSE and A Level and much more.
