George and Eiko suffered a traumatic event in their lives together yesterday. They awoke to an ominous red sky at 1am pt, only to then grab a few things to leave and find both of their cars on fire. They hiked up a canyon one-half mile to safety, were picked up by a friend and given a ride to shelter. They have lost everything but each other.
