Yad Menachem Scholarship Fund

Yad Menachem's mission is to help give Jewish children access to Jewish education by helping their parents pay for tuition. In Los Angeles today many families would love to give their children a Jewish education but are priced out. During the pandemic with public schools physically closed and Jewish day schools committed to opening their doors despite the extra regulations, a unique opportunity is at hand where even those families are strongly considering switching to a Jewish day school. A generous donor has stepped up and pledged to match every donation made up to $50,000, that means that with your help we can raise $100,000 or more to help local children and their future generations receive a Jewish education! 

Yad Menachem is overseen by a committee of local Rabbis; Rabbi Dovid Revah of Adas Torah, Rabbi Moshe Levin of Bais Bezalel, and Rabbi Avrohom Wagshul director of Jewish Education Works as well as the Kesher Hebrew School.

Yad Menachem is inspired by the life and work of Mel Wagshul ob''m (ר׳ מנחם מענדל בן ליפא) the grandfather of Rabbi Avrohom Wagshul the founder of Jewish Education Works, who did everything he could and more to help Jewish education. From serving as president at his children's school, paying for needy children's tuition, to driving children who were out of school to interviews at school after school until he found the right one! Every Jewish child deserves to have a quality Jewish education.
