Protect Uncle Boy's

Today we received the heartbreaking news that Uncle Boy's - a true pillar and favorite among residents of the Inner Richmond community of San Francisco - was vandalized at 6 am after an unidentified person smashed the glass of the storefront.
Why someone would do this, we have no clue. Uncle Boy's has been a provider of excellent service, food, and charity to our community. Jon "Blessed" Espejo is a first-generation immigrant and owner of this restaurant. He opened Uncle Boy's when he was 21 with the dream of owning something of his own and becoming a piece of the fabric that is San Francisco. 10 years later he has done just that and more. It is because of him, that once a month Uncle Boy's gives away free meals to anyone who comes into the shop, no questions asked.
The vandalism of Uncle Boy's is yet another tough blow in an age where being a small business owner is harder than ever.
Jon would be the last to ask for help, but today we are asking for any monetary donations to help him not only repair his store front but have Uncle Boy's come back stronger and better than ever! Uncle Boy's is a positive example of how a small business makes a community stronger. If you have ever enjoyed the pleasure of dining at Uncle Boy's or appreciate the value of small businesses in the community, please consider donating. Even if you don't have the capacity to send money at this moment, a share could do wonders.
