Glenn lost his battle with brain cancer on 4-12-21

Please help Glenn Jacobsen, a father, a brother, an uncle, and a friend to many!

In July, Glenn was diagnosed with a high grade glioma - an aggressive brain tumor.  Surgery on July 26th removed 80% of the tumor, but now he faces chemo and radiation treatments to attack what is left.  The tumor removal affected his speech and control of his arm.  Thankfully, physical therapy seems to be helping, but he does not know when he can return to work.  Glenn does have insurance, but the out of pocket costs are still staggering for this single dad of three.

Glenn’s Story
Glenn lost his wife, Dana, to breast cancer in 2006 when the boys were just 12, 10 and 2 years old.  His youngest, Andrew, has special needs.  Becoming a single dad under these circumstances is never easy, but Glenn stood strong despite his grief.  He has done an excellent job raising Eric, now 25, Kyle 23, and Andrew who is about to turn 16.  It was during treatment that Dana found out she was pregnant with Andrew.  Her doctor told her she would not survive a pregnancy and advised her to have an abortion.  Instead, Dana took a stand for life, suspended her cancer protocol, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy who just happened to have an extra chromosome.  Dana would lose her battle with breast cancer three short years later, but she loved her family fully in the time she had left.

How You Can Help
We are heartbroken that Glenn and his boys are facing another battle with cancer and we can’t imagine what they would do without him, specifically Andrew.  So we ask you first and foremost to join us in prayer.  Pray for a healing miracle.  Pray for strength.  Pray for peace.  Pray for provision.

We want to do all we can to relieve Glenn’s financial stress so he can concentrate on the physical challenges that lie ahead.  Would you consider helping us reach our goal of $50,000?  This money would be spent on out of pocket expenses his insurance does not cover.

Please feel free to share Glenn’s story on any of your social outlets.  The more help we can rally, the better.  On behalf of Glenn, Eric, Kyle, and Andrew, thank you for taking the time to consider our plea.  We are grateful for any help you can give.
