BII - Breast Implant Illness
For as long as I can recall, my sister has been the strong & steady. Through family struggles & high school advice, she always knew precisely the way to react & have us laughing our way through it.
3 years ago, things changed.
She underwent surgery for breast implants.
The first few months were great; she felt symmetrical, confident, & so innocent to what was about to follow.
Breast Implant Illness has been around for years, but only recently recognized officially by the FDA in May 2019. It is difficult to diagnose, as the symptoms are numerous, minor & major. An arm long list of debilitating mental & physical ailments consisting of insomnia, panic attacks, depression, liver & kidney failure, brain fog, memory loss, hair loss.. the list is too long.
If you google it, you’ll come across various definitions & very sick women. Women who wanted only to be aesthetically pleasing & hadn’t been warned of this ‘hush hush’ illness. You’ll also find women whose symptoms COMPLETELY disappeared after having an explant. Ridding of all the capsule’s toxic elements, poisoning their bodies.
After I learned of my sister’s struggle, just over a year ago, I coincidentally met an incredibly sweet woman going through the EXACT same thing. She shared her story, & number with me to give to my sister, because she said she will need support as some doctors don’t recognize this illness. Imagine that. Your whole life changing after receiving breast implants. Then not being believed!?
She is now taking time off from her career, as suffering from these symptoms is too much for one person to handle.
I recognize only some of who my sister truly is/was.
A properly executed explant is almost double the cost of an implant. It needs to be done correctly, as not to deform the muscle surrounding.
*** SHE DOES NOT KNOW I’M ASKING FOR HELP & IS BLOCKED FROM THIS POST. If you share please BLOCK HER from seeing. She is not the type of person to reach for personal help. I will present her with this post & the funds raised at the appropriate time. We will surprise her together! ***
If only we can make a little difference together, no matter the amount that you generously give..
thank you ♥️
