Eugene's Journey
Eugene was recently diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. He has a major fight on his hands in the coming months. His doctors have set up a treatment plan for his fight that includes 7 weeks of non-stop chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He will be undergoing chemotherapy once a week and radiation 5 days a week for those 7 weeks.
Eugene is a father of 4, a grandfather of 2 and a husband. He takes pride in being able to provide for his family. He is a very proud man so would never ask for help which is why I'm doing it for him. He needs to go into this fight with as clear a head as possible.
In order to do that, I'd like to try to alleviate some of the financial burden and stress from his mind. His treatment is expected to cost an estimated $6500 a month, so approximately $13,000 and that doesn't include medications, specialty medical supplies, supplements or any complications that may arise. Doctors also expect him to be off work for at least 3 months.
Eugene is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and rider. He has been involved in many charity rides, toy runs and benefits over the last several years. He may have a rough and tough exterior, but also a giving and compassionate heart. He is always willing to help someone in need.
Let's see if we can make his fight just a little easier. Anything helps and is very appreciated. If you can't donate, its completely understandable. Thoughts and prayers are also appreciated as well as sharing his journey.
