Meet Kenny the Belgian Malinois ! Kenny’s original owner trapped him in a cage 8-10 hours a day for a year and now has sever separation anxiety. He currently needs 50 mg Prozac daily. Our good friend, Brandon Janis, decided to adopt the troubled pup knowing how difficult it would be to raise him. Last night while playing fetch, Kenny ran into a pole protruding from the ground and split his entire hind right thigh in half. We immediately rushed Kenny to the Copley MetVet for surgery. Unfortunately it will probably be 2 weeks before they can actually close the wound. Every 24 hours Kenny will need to be taken to the vet to get his wrap changed. Each night Kenny stays is roughy $800. The current total for medical bills is $2,300 and will continue to rise until we get him into surgery. Brandon recently had to take him in for seizures and paid $800 out of pocket for that visit as well. We are looking for any amount of generous donations to support our friend and his playful companion. Kenny is an amazing dog and Brandon is an even better person for taking on such a challenge.
