Our Family, Our Fight.

Tammy H: June 22nd My husband Adnan went to our PCP for an ear infection. On June 24th Adnan had a heart attack here at the house. I rushed him to summit Er where he was diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis and then had another heart attack. 3 days later while being transferred by ambulance to Cenntenial downtown he had a stroke. Followed by multiple right and left brain strokes. Was Intubated immediately. Days later they did a tracheostomy and put in a feeding tube. He spent over a month in the ICU at Cenntenial. 2 days after being moved out of ICU he coded due to clots in his lungs. August 2 he was moved to a specialty hospital that dealt with trachs and ventilators that could give him light physical theraPy. He has been off the ventilator for a few weeks now. We are hoping he will be moved this week to a hardcore physical therapy in patient program. He cannot talk due to vocal cord damage. He cannot swallow on his own. He cannot walk either. He will require care 24/7 after leaving the rehab program so I will be unable to work. I’m am selling everything I can right now and minimizing all our bills to try to keep our house. To keep our 7 and 9 year old in this excellent school system and keep Adnan close to the care that he requires. Dec 24th his short term disability expires. Our bill for the 3 days he was at summit was $99k. Then we will have Cenntenials bill then this specialty hospital followed by the in patient rehab followed by his after care.
