I have this lump, baseball size, on my shoulder blade. The lump is a lipoma, a tumor of fat cells that will never go away on its own. It hurts daily, I haven’t been able to sit up straight or lay on my back or do much shoulder exercise in the 4 years I’ve had it, and it’s getting worse. My shoulder blades and back are increasingly sore, misaligned, and tight, and the lump itself is now vein-y and hot to the touch. I’m finally having surgery to get it removed on November 7th, thank goodness. However, in order to even begin the surgery, I need to pay the surgeon, hospital, and anesthesiologist. The total cost is $3,627. That’s about 4 times the price it would have been to have it removed when I first got it, and I believe the cost is just going to increase if I keep waiting. Honestly, I can’t keep waiting. This thing hurts and I’m tired of it.
