Help Spare Sparrow

Meet Sparrow, he is in constant pain. We will never know what life he lived up to this point, but we do know what needs to be done to save the rest of his life.
Sparrow was dropped off at Colbert Animal Hospital a little more than a week ago.  He was clearly hit by a car, and had been found 2 days prior left for dead. Luckily for him the yard he managed to crawl into belonged to good people, who felt compassion for him and took him in. Realizing he needed more than they could accommodate they brought him into the clinic.
His entire back end was swollen beyond belief. He had not eaten or used the bathroom in those two days. You could see the sadness and pain in his eyes. We put him in a quiet room with a warm bed, blankets and toys. He was started on medication to help with swelling, infection and pain. By the afternoon he was eating canned food and by the next day he started using the bathroom.
After doing xrays he has a severely fractured pelvis and there is a large gap between his left hip bone and socket. I have a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon first thing Tuesday morning to figure out what our options are for giving him the best life possible. I feel I should also inform whoever is still reading this that he also tested positive for heartworms.
The swelling in his legs has gone down some, he tries to walk but his left leg wants no part in it. I did carry him outside the other day and I have never seen a dog so happy to lay in the grass. I didn't think he would go anywhere so I went grab the water bowl off the porch, about 4 feet away, I turn around and he is pulling himself away from the blanket I had laid out. He was just loving being outside altogether! He had the biggest smile on his face the entire time!
I personally have spent a lot of time sitting with him and letting him know he is loved and we are fighting for him. As the days have passed I know he is still in pain. Every morning he greets me with a wagging nub, he doesnt have a full tail, a smile and covers my face in kisses. He wants to get better, he wants to be loved, and he wants a family to call his own.
Sparrow has people caring for and loving him and day and night. He knows we are fighting for him and will continue to until the end of time. He deserves better than the hand he was given. His path did not cross ours for no reason.
Every little bit helps us get one step closer to better Sparrow's life and bettering his chances of meeting the person/person's that lives will be changed once adopting the dog of their dreams!
Can't afford to donate? I completely understand life happens, please share so maybe someone you know or someone they know can see this and help spare Sparrow. Thank you!
