Prayers and Hope for David

Dear friends and family, As you may or may not know, David de la Rosa suffered an unexpected large brain hemorrhage stroke on September 14. Fortunately Allie, his wife, was with him and acted swiftly in getting him to the hospital where medical treatment was initiated. He was life flighted to Metro Health Neuro ICU in Cleveland, then transferred to surgical ICU and is now progressing to an acute post stroke recovery center. The stroke impacted many aspects of David's capabilities including, his speech and movement. David's road to recovery is challenging and long, with many expenses incurred along the way. Therefore, we are starting this Go fund page to assist David's recovery process in addition to help support his family; his wife Allie, 7 yr old son Atticus, and two daughters, 5 yr old Olive and 6 month old Ireland through this overwhelming journey. This has been an unexpected twist in the road for David and his family. Not only are they facing the normal bills of everyday life, but the added expenses involved with his road to recovery. Some of these expenses may include a chair lift for the stairs in his house, wheel chair, a ramp, a nurse aide to help him with his care at home, a total bathroom remodel to accommodate his new physical challenges and outpatient therapy which may not be covered by insurance. David is the type of person who always stepped up and helped anyone in whatever way he could, whether it was with his time, physical labor, a shoulder to lean on or money. David is a generous person who always helps others in a time of crisis. Now we have to ask you to help David and his family. Anybody who knows David knows he is a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. To him, family and friends mean everything and nothing comes before his family. His wife, Allie, has been his voice, his advocate and his cheerleader over the past week and a half, and does her best to boost his morale during this difficult time, never leaving his side. We ask that you keep David and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate any contribution that you are able to make to help us attain our goal to bring David home.
