Loving Grandmother Diagnosed With Stage 4 Lymphoma

Please help our grandma! Starting in july our grandma has been to numerous doctors trying to figure out why she was getting so sick. She couldnt even go to the beach anymore and we knew she had to be really bad. All her tests kept coming back okay and the doctors couldnt figure out why she was like this. On Wednesday morning our grandma was taken to the hospital because when she woke up she found out she had no feeling in her legs and she couldn’t walk. At the hospital they found a mass on her spine which had caused the paralysis and another little one a bit lower. They took her in an ambulance to a hospital in Eugene over 2 hours away from home, where they decided to do surgery on her spine to remove the mass. We were able to make plans to drive to Eugene on Thursday and thankfully we were able to see her right before they brought her back to the operating room. The surgery lasted less then an hour. When the surgeon came out she told our family that they had removed what was pushing on her spine but that it was a pretty big and aggressive tumor. It originated in her chest, and extended into the soft tissues, and the bone of her spine. They said it was about 10cm. Now was the waiting game, waiting for the specimens they collected to be ran through all the proper tests to let us know the prognosis and diagnosis. Friday the oncologist arrived and let us know that she has what is called Large Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma. It is a very aggressive cancer and spreads quickly, it is what caused the paralysis and all the pain in her back. It is stage 4. They have started her on some medicine and are wanting her to have one dose of chemo before coming home to continue treatment. She is in great spirits given the circumstances. She is working on gaining mobility in her legs and can wiggle her toes, PT and OT are working together to help her gain strength. As a family this is hard and a struggle but as a family we fight! We are starting this go fund me for her to help with the costs of medication, transportation and bills while she is unable to work. Please help, she is one of the most loving giving people in this world. Thank you and god bless
