Lets Help Terry!

Hi everyone - my name is Debbie and I am Terry’s sister-in-law (Jodie’s sister). As some of you are aware Terry collapsed at Isla’s school on Thursday and was rushed to Coffs Harbour hospital. After a very long wait and after tests they found out that he was bleeding from his heart, and he was filling up internally with blood and he was in a extremely serious condition (Ill get the correct medical term when I can). He was airlifted that night to John Hunter hospital to have emergency surgery and they gave him only a 5% chance of surviving the 10 hour surgery and Jodie said good-bye to him. But he did survive it!! But has been an induced coma since - he had another emergency operation on Saturday as he wasnt stable and he is in for the fight for his life. He has had many complications but he is still with us. They have tried to wake him from the coma, but things are not going well, so they have put him back to sleep. Jodie has not left his side since, and is with him at the hospital with their son Jack and his girlfriend Amber. Ryli and Isla, their daughters are with our parents in Kempsey, until we know what is happening. So as you can imagine - Jodie is just focusing on Terry. If ever the Powicks need us - it is now!! His whole family are truly devastated from his parents, brothers and sisters and all Jodie’s family. As you can imagine, life goes on for them - bills, mortgage, car payments, and basic living expenses. When and if they get back to work is an unknown. The cost of living in a motel room, has already impacted Jodie financially and the worry of how she is going to keep everything going is something she does not need to worry about at this time. As we know, Terry is always supporting others and his community and now it is time to give back. If you can help out in anyway - be it a small donation to the family, to get them through this time or just by sharing this around, I would be forever grateful. I will try and update you all when I know more news, but at this stage he needs everyone’s thoughts and prayers. Thank you Debbie x
