Leilani Parrott’s Long Road To Recovery

On September 5th, 2019 Leilani was riding her motorcycle down Ortega Highway when she came around a corner to dead stopped traffic. In order to save herself from a fatal collision with the back of a semi truck she had no choice but to abandon her bike and suffer the injuries to come. Leilani suffered several serious injuries including a broken 3rd lower vertebrae, broken pelvis and multiple broken ribs. She had surgery to stabilize her back on September 7th which included the placement of multiple rods along her spine. Thankfully she will walk again but the road to recovery is long and she will immobile for 12+ weeks. As some of you know Leilani is a single mother that owns her own business as an esthetician, specializing in waxing, which requires her to be on her feet for multiple hours a day. Due to her injuries she will be unable to work and support herself and her two children.Thankfully she has insurance but no disability to help cover her families day to day needs while she recovers. Leilani is one of the sweetest and strongest people we know and is never one to ask for help which is why we, her family, are asking for her.
