Johnathan Crawford has spent the last ten years of his life serving the people of Harnett Co and Dunn as a Fireman,Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic. Showing up to help people in their time of need and now He needs the communities help. Last week, he was called to his daughters school were he was informed that pictures of his daughter were circulating. He later learned that these pictures were sent to a 19 year old fireman on his department. They were coerced by an adult manipulating a child with threats. Then Grown-man distributed the pictures to other middle school aged children. Johnathan then did what any parent would do... tried to protect his child. He drove to the fire academy where the predator was... but instead of hurting him or Killing him. He took him to the police station to answer for the wrong he had done. What Johnathan did meets the elements of Kidnapping, but that wasn’t his intent. His intent was to secure justice for his daughter and to prevent this young man from preying on anyone else. He has been charged with 2nd degree kidnapping and lost his job because of his actions. He faces financial hardships and expensive legal fees in the coming months.Taking this case to court will cost up to 20,000 dollars. The kind of money most public servants don’t have lying around. Help support a family man who has helped so many in this community and donate today.
