Megan Lipinski (Cowles) Benefit

We are holding a benefit for my sister and friend Megan Lipinski (Cowles). Megan is a hard working wife and mother of three young boys. She has struggled for years with chronic Pancreatitis. Megan is currently off work as a nurse as she waits to undergo a total pancreatectomy and islet cell transplant with a splenectomy. The only place to have this procedure done is Edmonton, Alberta. Due to this, her husband will be taking a leave from work and is relocating with their children to Edmonton, to be with her during this procedure and recovery. Megan has been told to be prepared to be in Edmonton for 4-6 weeks as she will have to remain under the supervision of the operating surgeon. The overall recovery time is unknown but is expected to be upwards of a year. The benefit and donations are to help assist with travel costs, lost income, and any other financial stress during this difficult time.
