Unite Our Family While Dad Battles B Cell Lymphoma

My name is Losaline Latu, my sister is Virginia Tuifua. We just found out that our 81 year old Father, Tevita Tali, has B Cell Lymphoma cancer. It started as a ball in his neck, to swelling in his throat to the point where he was having a hard time swallowing and eating. He has lost a lot of weight due to not being able to eat properly. His ENT confirmed it was a tumor that goes from the back of his tongue, down his neck and into lymphnodes. We had 2 biopsies done and have definitively confirmed it is B Cell Lymphoma. We find out what stage and treatment options next week. We have also found out that his EKG revealed there is some regurgitation in his heart valves (they're leaking if that makes sense?) and his heart is enlarged. We are worried given his age and now these heart problems, that treatment may be slim and dangerous. The anesthesia for the biopsy was already risky for his heart and thank goodness he made it out of that. He's already so frail now that we hope he is strong enough to withstand treatment. We don't know what the future holds. We have begun final preparations for him just in case something happens and to be prepared for anything. My older sister, Virginia, is married and has 6 children currently residing in Tonga and we need to bring her here to Salt Lake City on a visitors visa to be with me to help take care of our Dad. Dad's wish is to get her here from Tonga to see and spend time with him before something happens to him. He feels like his time is coming. She has been away since 2003. The process to get her here, and also her youngest baby is very expensive. I'd like to share what she has wrote: MY NAME IS VIRGINIA TALI TUIFUA AKA (Nia), I was deported to Tonga in 2003 for dumb decisions I made as a teenager. My Father was the only one that never gave up on me all these years. It's hard to love your family and miss them thousands of miles away. Hard for a daughter to be away from her Father and for a Father to miss his daughter. I have changed my life, grown deep in my Tongan culture, my love for God is strong! I'm married and have 6 beautiful kids. There's not a day that goes by when I think of being away from my family. Regrets of past mistakes and regrets that I should be home in Utah, helping to take care of our Dad. It's hard to watch my family struggle without me. To only be able to see my family through a phone screen. My sister is overwhelmed to raise her own family and take care of Dad at the same time and it kills me that I'm not there to help her like a big sister should. I need to be there with my Dad and sister emotionally, mentally and physically. To help do a DAUGHTERS job for my Dad. I am the oldest daughter and have responsibilities that I need to fulfill. I owe this honor to take care of him especially now that he is sick. You never know when God will call you back. He will be 82 years old on the 30th of September. Please help me BE WITH MY FAMILY. I CAN'T PAY YOU BACK BUT I KNOW GOD WILL DEFINITELY BLESS YOU TENFOLD! The visitors visa its self is expensive and if I file the waiver it is $930. I must travel to the immigration in Fiji to submit my request for visitors visa to the U.S. for my daughter and I. The round ticket itself to Fiji from Tonga to file the papers will be $2,000+ as well as hotel accommodations, food, transportation and other required paper work that may need to be filed for my daughter and I. If approved, there is also the ticket from the islands of Tonga to America. Requires so much money. Money that my family and I do not have but I know by the grace of God there are loving people out there that truly believe my family and I deserve this chance to be together for my Dad and to make him happy. Time is important and I don't know how much I have left. I pray in my heart that my Dad hangs in there and waits for me and that you can HELP ME GET HOME TO SEE MY DAD ❤❤❤ Anything helps! Thank you for taking time to read our story! Much love from our family❤
