Help for Christina Hare’s Medical Expenses

Donation protected
My big sister Christina has been admitted to the hospital for the 3rd time in six years with a very rare, scary, serious condition that little is known about. She had a dissected artery in her neck/brain (below is a detailed explanation and what is currently being done).

This is the third time she has had such a close call with death/stroke due to this condition and she will be out of work for at least another month, probably two, in addition to the 5 days spent on the neuro trauma unit at Hartford Hospital (who we cannot speak high enough about!). She will see a specialist in 3 weeks for a follow up and plan for more brain imaging.

We have no idea what the medical bills currently look like. As a Registered Nurse her job is to care for others, but now she is the one in need of care! If you are able to donate, please do - anything helps. Even a $5 donation would make a difference. My sister needs this time to rest and recover, not worry about medical expenses.

Please pray for continued healing. Even if you are unable to donate please consider making a meal, visiting (for short periods), or helping with rides to doctor appointments (Robert goes back to work Monday). They are truly grateful for anything.

Please keep her husband, Robert, in your prayers as well, things are going to get very overwhelming trying to provide care and love for both Christina and their 4 year old daughter.

Detailed explanation here:

Christina suffered a spontaneous left internal intracranial carotid artery dissection with a pseudoaneurysm. In short, the artery in her neck broke on the inside. For an unknown reason she has had two other such injuries (left vertebral artery dissection and right internal carotid artery (which is 100% occluded).

Praise God none have caused strokes and she has collateral circulation supplying blood to her brain. God is so so good. The doctors don’t know why this keeps happening and there isn’t anything they can do to prevent these except treat her with blood thinners to prevent strokes. Her most recent brain scan after being in the ICU/step down showed a stable aneurysm and dissection (a good thing!) and so they let her go home Wednesday, August 21st. She is currently on 24 hour stroke watch at home for one month.

She is getting stronger each day and is currently getting up for meals and short visits. She becomes fatigued and brain foggy soon after so is resting often.

Please remember, prayers are free ❤️
