Hi! My family, including myself, my brother, and my mom rescued our dog Theo 6 months ago. When I saw him at the shelter, I immediately knew I needed to give him a happier life, so we began fostering him at first, and soon adopted him after our family fell in love with his kind, sweet, cuddly nature. We think he had been abused or treated cruel in his life before the shelter due to scars on his head, missing teeth, and more. However, even though he may have had a rough life before we found him, he is continuously the sweetest, most affectionate, compassionate dog I have ever met. He is only 4 years old and we recently found out that he has a large tumor on his heart, which is extremely rare for a dog so young. The tumor makes it difficult for blood to pump out of his heart and to the rest of his body. We have paid thousands in getting fluid drained from his abdomen, medication he needs, and much more. Our doctor says the only way to actually try and fix this problem so that he can live is to get him radiation. The radiation costs $10,000. My family wants to stop at nothing to save his life, but we are really struggling with getting enough money to pay for it all and we don’t want to give up. We have come up with $3,200 and we don’t know how much more we’ll be able to afford, if any. If we don’t try and reduce the size of the tumor, he may only have six months to live which breaks each of our hearts an unbearable amount. It would mean everything to me and my family if we were able to raise money for his radiation so that he can live a happy, healthy life. He has been through a lot in his young life, yet the way he still manages to be so kind and affectionate towards everyone he meets makes me see how incredible of a dog he is. Thank you so much for reading. Any donation at all is appreciated more than you can imagine. Thank you so so much
