Joe True is a real life Superhero. His superpower is whenever you are near him or talking to him he brings you happiness and brightens up your day. But now, he needs our help to defeat his arch nemesis: Aplastic Anemia. Joe has been battling this disease for several years. His body no longer produces enough platelets or red blood cells. He has to go to the hospital three time a week most weeks to have blood draws and infusions just to maintain enough energy to get by. He has not been his usual energetic, fun-loving self in a long time because of this. The only thing that can help him get back to normal is a bone marrow transplant. The transplant will force him to be in the hospital for up to a month and then he will have to stay within 10 minutes of Stanford for 3 months to insure the transplant takes. He needs our help to pay for his out of pocket expenses for the procedure and to keep his apartment while he is out of work this whole time. He has brought so many people happiness in our lives by just being in it and this is how we can show him we love and appreciate him.
