My sweet sister Mary spent months in the hospital a year ago with a severe lung infection, leaving her family with overwhelming medical bills. She fought a courageous battle and finally made enough of a recovery to return to work and an almost normal life. The family worked together in an attempt to tackle the mounting bills and were making some progress. Unfortunately, she has relapsed and has been placed in a chemically induced coma so that she can be treated for this severe fungal pneumonia. She is in very critical condition in the intensive care unit. Of course this means another onslaught of medical bills.
