Michael Pensinger & his fiancee Sams recovery
Donation protected
Dear friends & family as many of you know on July 17th my son Michael just picked up his fiancee Sam from work at the hospital and were on the way home when a 19 yr. old driving opposite direction on crossed 3 lanes and hit them head on. Forever changing their lives. Michael was able to reach his phone and call me. (worst call a parent could ever have from their child no matter the age) I got there and was able to talk to both Him & Samantha while they cut the car apart to get them out. They were both in severe pain from various broken body parts. I watched helplessly as they loaded them onto helicopters to fly them to the University of Md. Shock Trauma Center. The picture you see is from right after that. The car seat in the back is for their one year old son George who was thankfully not in the car. *Changed picture to what the scene looked like when I got there.
As a result Michael had a broken hip and a broken kneecap. Samantha had a broken hip, broken right foot, broken left wrist, broken collar bone and 2 broken ribs. After spending several weeks in the Shock Trauma center they are now in a rehabilitation center to heal and learn how to walk again. They have 1 year old George who is home waiting for them. It will be a long road for them to get there so lets help them to get back on their feet to be with George.
Even though the other driver had insurance it will be some time and no where near enough to cover everything. This is going to be a long journey and there will be medical bills, as well as, day to day bills. The financial costs will be insurmountable. Any kind of support & prayers will be appreciated. All proceeds will go to Michael & Samantha. Both are not able to work for some time and will need our help to get through all this. Expenses are for medical bills & equipment, regular bills, Miscellaneous treatment costs (co-pays, transportation, etc.), some comfort supplies while in rehab center & baby Georges care and supplies like food, diapers and wipes etc. If you can, please donate, even the smallest amount, to help alleviate some of the financial burden for them. If you have any other ideas on how to help please do not hesitate to ask Michael, Samantha or myself.
Thank you for whatever you can do to help even if it's just a simple prayer.
