Dear Friends and Family,

Though I’m sure most are aware, on August 3 Andrew had an accident on the MS River that resulted in a severely fractured vertebra in his neck and damage to his spinal cord. He was immediately airlifted to The MED in Memphis, and has undergone two surgeries since then. Both surgeries were successful, and he has already made so much progress in just one week. Andrew will soon go to Sheperd Center in Atlanta to begin an intense rehabilitation process; and we have no doubt that he will continue to push through the trials to come. Andrew is a fighter and he has had an unbelievably positive mindset through this whole process. Everyone that knows him loves him, and it has been amazing to see all of his friends, family, and community come together to support him through this difficult season. Many people have reached out asking what they could do or how they could help, so we have decided to create this GoFundMe page in support of him and his family.

Not only are Andrew’s medical bills costly, but we also must consider family travel and everything surrounding his rehabilitation efforts. Our goal is to try to cover all of those traveling expenses, and to offset a few other expenses with this fundraiser. When talking with Andrew and his family, they decided that all money raised in excess of what is needed will be donated to help others in need, which is a testament to Andrew’s character and a great example of an amazing man from a giving family that I have been so blessed to have in my life.

I can honestly say that I have witnessed more miracles than I can count in this past week, and I am extremely hopeful and excited to see his progress continue over these next few months.
