My name is Alessandro Felix and I have cerebral palsy. I am almost 29, and finding it harder and harder to get around these days. Recently, I was fortunate enough to have Medicaid pay for a new medical scooter. Which is great. However, this solution created a new problem. I am unable to transport the scooter itself, with my car. I am able to drive a normal vehicle. And the scooter is too heavy for me to lift in and out of my car, because it's just under 100 pounds. Medicaid does not cover scooter lifts. So I am trying to pay for one. So I can bring my new scooter to whatever my destination might be, and be independent and unafraid of falling, and being injured once I get to where I'm going. Anything would help and would be greatly appreciated.
