Scott Shipley Family Assistance This is a GoFundMe to help out my mom. We just lost my dad on July 30th due to a ruptured Aortic Aneurysm. Many of you know a few months ago we also lost my grandfather and my brother. My parents were barely making end’s meet and now with the loss of my dad’s income, (my mom will only get a portion of his military retirement pay) we are not sure how we will handle all the bills in addition my dad's funeral expenses. My dad, Scott Shipley, was a wonderful man. I learned a lot from him, even though we fought like cats and dogs most of the time. He served in the United States Air Force for 19 years, until he was medically retired. After his retirement, we moved so he could help take care of his mom. For the last several years he spent a lot of his time volunteering with Mickaboo, a parrot rescue. He was the macaw coordinator. I lost track of how many parrots we had come in and out of our house. He loved all of them, even those that left a scar (big beaks can do some damage!). He was always willing to help people try to find their parrot who got out and even make runs to pick up parrots and/or cages for transport. My dad also loved to throw pottery in his spare time. He was pretty good at it and even had several of his pieces in a local gallery. If you feel it in your hearts and you are able to help my mom and I, it would be greatly appreciated.
