On July 27th just before midnight the Tomasi Family was faced with a tragedy we all hope to never experience. Their home was engulfed by flames. Thankfully the whole Family made it out unharmed but their souls are crushed. Joseph Thomasi the owner built the house himself , raising his 4 daughters in that house. Himself , his wife Grace and two of their daughters were effected this night when they watched all of their memories burn down. What caused the fire has not been determined at this time. The family was unable to salvage their valuables and belongings. A home that once was a common hangout for the whole family is now in need of being rebuilt. In less that a week their daughter from Florida was arriving with their granddaughter and great grand daughter to be Baptized. The whole family was set to use this home for party and accommodations . Their grandson was beyond excited to visit and see grandpa joe’s goats and chickens. This go fund me was started by a family friend to help raise money for the out of pockets expenses, the items the insurance company will not cover and of course any unforeseeable occurrences that will take place when rebuilding a home. All of the proceeds will be taken out on an as need basis to help the family get back on their feet. A little background : Joseph and Grace Tomasi were set to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this upcoming Friday. They had their whole family coming to visit for their great grand daughters baptism the following Sunday. What was suppose to be an exciting weekend turned into a nightmare. Joseph is known well in the neighborhood as Farmer joe. He has his little homestead with chickens , goats and peacocks. Luckily all of the animals are safe and healthy. This family is extremely caring, spending years doing volunteer work and being involved in the community. Please help in anyway you can. As of right now we are just trying to get the simple needs like clothes and shelter for them. Every little bit is appreciated. God Bless
