Helping with Celebration of Life Costs for Tracy

To those of you whom knew this amazing woman, know how full of life and vibrant she was. To those whom are just meeting her through this short little bio, will hopefully walk away with at least half a sense of the woman she was and how hard she fought to survive. Her battle with cancer took her from us July 27th 12:16am. We are asking for financial assistance with this sudden loss.

Hello, I’m Ashlie. My Mom, Tracy’s, oldest. My Father, Scott and siblings Alixandra, Cameron, Abbigail, and Joseph are struggling with the realization that we have lost such a powerful person in our lives. My Dad’s Wife of 20+ years, Our Mother and the Meme/Neme to Our Children. My Mama loved with all of her heart, in all that she did. Sister, Wife, Mother of 5, Grandmother to 7, Aunt, and Friend. She loved her family and friends dearly, loved bodies of water of any kind, and the sunlight on her face. Music of all varieties, movies that made you feel, and to smile while living her best life. Diagnosed with Cancer in July of 2017 while volunteering for RFK Camp. A surgery, some chemotherapy, radiation, and about a year later and we were blessed with the word remission, but it was short lived. Health complications put her in the hospital for about 2 mo starting in December 2018. Her traverse colon was literally disintegrating. Recovery was not easy and it was a while before she even started to feel like herself, but the weight loss and destruction it had taken on her body was obvious. April came and it was time for her 3mo scans, where they found new spots on her liver, fatty tissue behind the liver, and in her lymph nodes. We (and the hospital) fought with Insurance for over a month as they continued to deny her PED Scan. Even after the appeal. Finally giving in, at the beginning of June and getting a Stage 4 Terminal Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis. A trip to CTCA the first week in July for a 2nd opinion, landed us with even worse news. That the only option on the board (a chemo dose) shouldn’t have been on the board to begin with. She wasn’t physically healthy enough to be able to withstand the drug. And in 3 shorts weeks Cancer has taken Her from Us. 3 short weeks. Of trying to make the most of a devastating situation. Of trying to fulfill her bucket list. Of Hospital visits because of the pain. Of just trying to spend the time we had together. She was always there when she was needed and I’m hoping that we can help her in her time of need. Services will be held with Fred C Dames Funeral Home in Morris IL with details to come. We were not mentally nor financially prepared for these forward moving decisions and with only a very small portion saved, of what everything will cost, we’re asking for your help, to give my Mama the celebration she deserves. Every penny spends the same, so please know, no amount is too small. It all helps in the long run. Can’t donate? Please Share. You never know who might be able and willing to donate. We Thank you for any and all support!
