Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness
Donation protected
Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness has become increasingly more prominent in the past decade and a half. This is especially true as we battle the CoVid19 and we are subject to increased stressors.
I have arranged to paddle the Attawapiskat River in northern Ontario. I am pleased that I was able to make arrangements with Greg Bourdignon of Nakina Air Service. Greg will drop me into the river and pick me up from Attawapiskat. I am excited to do this river and be able to donate any monies raised to the communtiy of Attawapiskat First Nation. I would like to acknowledge and thank the Attawapiskat First Nation for allowing me onto their traditional territory. I expect to start paddling on July 13. My 15 foot Pakcanoe will be my mode of travel. I WISH TO EMPHASIZE THAT I WILL TAKE 14 DAYS ON THE RIVER TO COMPLETE THE TRIP AND TO SELF-ISOLATE, as per safety guidelines. I will also be carrying my mask, gloves and hand sanitizer, for my anticipated arrival in Attawapiskat.
All social distancing practices will be followed.
Stayed tuned for updates. I ask that you consider a donation in any amount you can afford for this very worthy cause.
