Let's help GEGE thru his recovery & rehabilitation

Boston's legendary Latin female impersonator GeGe aka Guillermo Leon recently suffered two strokes because he had a totally blocked carotid artery. The other carotid artery was closing and he was not getting enough blood to the brain. During the operation to remove plaque from the carotid attery he suffered a heart attack and was placed on life support where he has been in the cardiac ICU @MGH since May 26. He then developed serious complications when the heart pump that help maintain vital organs was not sending enough blood to his lower extremities and his legs began to turn black and blue then infections developed. At first the left leg was amputated a week later the right leg had to be amputated as well. Guillermo has undergone multiple surgeries and hopefully will be leaving ICU very soon but in he has a long road of rehabilitation ahead. Level of future functionality will be determined after all of this all of his medical is finished. Those of you that know Guillermo aka GeGe are familiar with his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need even it meant giving the shirt off his back, so I ask each and everyone of you to look into your hearts and please make donations.
