New Beginnings

Hello. My name is Inaru but everyone calls me Ini. I was born and raised in Manhattan on the Lower East Side where I also raised my three children; Jesse - 28, Jerrell 24 and the last of my tribe, Isabella who is 11 years old. I've dedicated a large part of my life giving back to my community in some form and raising my kids to be productive humans. :) It hasnt always been easy but we made it through whatever obstacles that have been put in our way. Most recently I was diagnosed with MS and Kidney Cancer in less than 24 hours of each other. In the beginning of receiving this horrible news all I could think about is that my kids still need me. How was I going to tell them and still reassure them that their mother is going to be ok? Breaking the news about both diagnoses was not at all easy, so much so, I decided not to tell my daughter. It was hard for me to tell the boys without them connecting Cancer and death together. On July 11, 2019 I had the Cancer removed from my left kidney. Leaving me with one in a half Kidneys to live with, which is totally fine with me since I live a healthy lifestyle. Today I am two days post op and I'm feeling great. After being diagnosed in late April and then being laid off from a job that I was with for five years, I decided there is no better time to start new and do something I've been wanting to do for years. On August 3rd I will be relocating to Chesterfield, Va. I've been wanting to relocate for a long time but something always came up, a promotion , fear, excuses but after experiencing this emotional roller coaster I've been on these past few months and putting things into perspective for my family and I, I feel this is the perfect time to change my environment and begin moving forward with NO fear. I decided to put a GoFund Me for myself because realistically, since the move is a bit short notice, financially things are a bit tight. Although I will be living with my dad for a while, I am use to having my own. I've been applying to different jobs, schools in particular. Isabella is already enrolled in her school and at some point I'm going to need a car. So any little bit of monetary donation will help and be greatly appreciated.
