Library Fund in Honor of Netherlly Osei Tutu

Born in Albany, GA to the late Lawrence and Berneda (McFarland) Jones, Netherlly was the oldest of two children.  Netherlly married her life partner, LTC (U.S. Army) Augustus Osei Tutu Jr., on June 19, 1993. They were blessed with three wonderful children—Sedrick, Shabohn, and Sydney. Netherlly graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 1986 and attended Albany State University. A veteran of the United States Navy, Netherlly honorably served 11 years. Baptized into the Christian faith at Third Kiokee Baptist Church, Netherlly’s life was marked by her love for God, family, friends, and the less fortunate among us. A member of Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she diligently served on the Daughters of Light Women’s Ministry and was a member of the Mass Choir. In addition to her husband of 26 years, Netherlly left her children, sister (Correcia Jones Edmondson), in-laws, and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins to cherish her memory.
