Urgent Cause-Emergency Fundraiser for Sexually Abused Haitian Boys

Alarming reports from 10 miles northwest of Port-au-Prince reveal that young Haitian boys were subject to ongoing physical and sexual abuse at the hands of an American missionary named Jeriah Mast. Christian Aid Ministries (CAM) knowingly sent Mr. Mast back to Haiti after he confessed to multiple counts of child sexual abuse in the United States (see below for report links). The estimates indicate that Mr. Mast abused several dozen young Haitian boys ages 10-14.

For the missionary community, the details of this abuse are horrific. For those of us who love Haiti, and its people, this is painful. For the many who work or have worked near Titanyen, Haiti, this is too close to home. We learned many of our friends may have experienced the abuse.
HOW YOU CAN HELP!
The rule of law is very different in Haiti. Many of the victims are desperately poor and have no way to secure proper representation. The first step is to secure legal counsel on these young men’s behalf. We will solicit Haitian Courts near Titanyen to secure a request that will require CAM (Christian Aid Ministries) to turn over all communication and information regarding Mr. Mast *****NO PROGRESS
Phase 1 of the funding needs will provide for the following:
1. Retainer fee for a Haitian lawyer, one who speaks and understands English as well as Creole DONE
2. Court costs and cost of ongoing investigations****** ONGOING
Phase 2 of the funding will provide for the following:
1. Continued legal/investigation costs***** ONGOING
2. Medical treatments****** ONGOING
3. Mental health counseling******UPDATE***** PSYCHOLOGIST HIRED and she has interviewed a 4 boys and arranging for one boy severe Sexual Injury to receive treatment at a Hospital in Port un Prince and all will recieve complete medical exams and blood work, this poses additional costs for transportation but is in the process..NOTE NOTE hopefully the Haitian Gov. might help with these cost.
*******UPDATE NOTE:***** expenses thus far have been close to $5,000, of which $2,500 has come in. Please consider giving as the Lord directs....The need is great and more victims may be coming forward, thus creating more costs. Personal needs of the boys are heavy on my heart as i try to see what can be done to help them. 2 of them are living in tents.
Phase 3 of the funding will provide for the following:
1. On-going counseling for abuse victims
2. Vocational training and rehabilitation for victims*** at Haiti First Responders and Training center
June 2010 - "Me, Ya Jwenn [in Creole, his name means "They will find you"] I think that maybe I have been found!! That is Gilbert and Ronny asking my "master" to come with them and see Judge Dorisco---the judge will decide if my "master" get money for me--who is that white man taking my pic? He seems to want to help rescue me--my master still has a big machete---she is screaming---money, money, new house--please help me!"
March 2019 - Ya Jwenn today. Jesus knew his name, and he stands as a child of GOD. He represents so many Haitian children who have survived remarkably horrific circumstances. He happily declares, "I am NO LONGER a slave!"
MY PASSION, CALLING, AND ASSIGNMENT FOR HELPING these boys and for the other young teenagers in Haiti began after the earthquake in 2010. The Lord called me in June of 2010 to help rescue a young boy who came to the Global Outreach/SP Compound in Titanyen after the earthquake. He sought medical attention for open cuts and wounds; the apparent evidence of abuse. He was severely malnourished and wearing only a tee shirt. A deranged woman had him locked up as a child slave (Restevek). She disciplined him with a machete. His scars are still visible today.
After several days we gained an audience with a local judge, and it was his decision to put this young boy in my care, as his legal guardian. I did not expect this decision, but my Haitian son has been the center of my life and the reason I love Haiti so much.
It pains me now to think that he could have fallen victim to Mr. Mast, given his vulnerability.
GOD has given me a passion to take action! These boys need someone to be their advocate and to meet their needs, yet keep their privacy and protect them from the shame and stigma these types of abuse can bring.
Thankfully, I rescued my Haitian son from his abuser. Would you help me do the same for these young men who have no one on their side?
