Loving Father & Husband w/ Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
On June 13, 2019, my husband, Dennis Santos, 58 was rushed to UC Davis Hospital where he was later diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. For months he had issues walking because of his right knee being swollen to the point he couldn't bend it or put any weight on that leg. The doctor's kept telling us it was gout and arthritis, sad to say that was a misdiagnosis. He then ended up being admitted to UC Davis and stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks, where he underwent surgery on his right knee. The doctors had to place a metal plate to stabilize his knee because cancer had deteriorated his bone and ligaments. During his time in the hospital, his doctors did a CT scan, X-Ray, Bone Scan, and MRI to see where else cancer may have spread and to see where it originated. The results came back and they informed us that it spread in his lungs, brain, right side of his ribs, and his right knee but they are still unsure where it started. They are still unable to tell us what exact type of cancer he has, even after taking two biopsies from the tumor on his knee. They now want to try taking a sample from his lungs. My husband is 6ft tall and used to weigh 175 lbs but has lost over 35 lbs already and is too weak to get out of bed. His spirits are still high and we are praying for a miracle. He's not down for the count just quite yet! We have him on an organic diet with no red meat or processed foods and fresh vegetable juice to boost his immune system naturally. We are seeking any donations to help pay for medical expenses to bring him to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Chicago where they accept our insurance and stage 4 patients to give him the best chance at fighting this since his doctors here can't figure out what it is exactly. They just continue to tell us it's a rare aggressive form of cancer. So with your kind donations, we will be able to travel to Chicago to get another opinion by people who specialize in this disease. The money will go to travel, hotel lodging, and other expenses to keep us afloat while fighting for Dennis. Before getting sick, Dennis was a vibrant man, young at heart, who enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, mini golf, and singing karaoke at the house with his family. He's a loving father of 4 children and an amazing grandfather to two little ones. All he wants to do is be able to walk his daughters' down the aisle when the time comes and to see his grandchildren and future grandchildren grow up into adulthood. Dennis is a very strong man and before this never once been hospitalized or had any surgeries, so needless to say he's not giving up!

Thank you for taking your time reading our story. We also need our prayer warriors more than ever! God bless you and your family because at the end of the day that's all that matters.
